A big part of the problem is that our culture tends to be monolithic, linear and object oriented, while nature is cyclical, circular, reciprocal and feedback generated.

So we tend to focus on the shiny objects, until something comes around and smacks us on the back of the head.

As these mobile organisms, this sentient interface between body and situation functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our experience of time is as the present moving past to future, but the evident reality is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

Energy is "conserved," because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color and sound. Frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.

So the energy goes past to future, because the patterns generated coalesce and dissolve, future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions giving it form and structure go future to past. Though it is the digestive system processing the energy, the nervous system sorting the information and the circulation system as feedback between them.

So the gut does tend to set the agenda, while the brain has more of an advisory role.

In society, government, as executive and regulatory function, is analogous to the nervous system, while money and banking function as blood and the circulation system. Consequently the fatal flaw of public government and private banking is finance rules, since they are not subject to as much oversight, don't have to plan around election cycles and control the finances of anyone presuming to run for office.

So if it seems our politicians are just puppets, it is because they are. Their main function is to create the debt the banks need to function.

While people tend to see money as signal to extract and store, markets need it to circulate, so we see it as both medium and store, but consider that in the body, blood is the medium, while fat is the store.

To store the asset side of the ledger, a debt is necessary on the other side. So the secret sauce of capitalism is public debt backing private wealth.

The financialization of the economy and everything else is like a metastatic cancer, because it is.

We need to better understand how it all works and we will be better at figuring out how to fix it.
