A few ideas;
Capitalism is not synonymous with a market economy. People are linear, goal oriented creatures in a cyclical, circular, feedback generated reality, so while markets need money to circulate, people see it as signal to extract and store. Blood is a medium, fat is a store. Not interchangeable.
The medium has become the massage, the tool becomes the god.
A spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. The effective consequence of multitudes of absolutist ideologies is polytheism.
Good and bad are not some cosmic conflict between righteousness and evil, but the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental. The 1/0 of sentience. When good is treated as aspirational rather than elemental, all the higher order complexity, nuance and subjectivity is lost, in the race to the bottom, of us versus them.
Time is not the point of the present, moving past to future, that we experience as mobile organisms navigating our environment, but change turning future to past. There is no literal dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.
So the effectiveness of our narrative paradigm is reaching its limits in this thermodynamic reality.
After tens of thousands of years of going forth and multiplying, we've reached the edge of the petri dish and it's time to recognize the earth is round, in more ways than just one. Karma's a bitch, when you reach the end of the chain at a dead run.
