A major aspect is that knowledge, that collection of information by which we make sense of the world, is inherently subjective. Aka, biased.

We have this monotheistically based assumption that there is some objective point of view, but that is an oxymoron. We are all our own point of view and there is no omniscient omniscience. The universal is the elemental, not some overarching ideal.

It builds up and it breaks down, but without the ups and downs, it would be a flat line.
