A related concept is feedback. The process of interaction between the opposing elements.

Consider that as mobile organisms, this sentient interface our bodies have with their situation, aka, consciousness, functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate. So our experience of time is as the present moving past to future, though the evident reality is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

Energy is conserved, because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color and sound. Frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.

So the energy goes past to future, because the patterns being generated come and go, future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past. Though it is the digestive system processing the energy and feeding the flame, while the nervous system sorts the information and the circulation system is feedback in the middle.

So consciousness and thought go opposite directions of time.

Galaxies are energy radiating out, as the structure being generated coalesces in.

So entropy for energy is to expand, while entropy for information/form/waves, is to synchronize.

Keep in mind that anything actually falling into the black hole in the center and not previously radiated out, is shot out the poles as quasars. Which are like giant lasers and lasers are synchronized light waves.

One possible reason there is so much more gravity, than mass to explain it, is because the properties making up what we call mass are an intermediate effect of this relationship and dynamic, between the barest bending of the light, to the vortices at the center of galaxies.

So this balance and tension between the two is all there is.

The anarchies of desire, versus the tyrannies of judgement. Future=potential, past=residual.
