A spiritual absolute would necessarily be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell.

Conflating the absolute with the ideal is the real problem, as it leads us to extremes and not seeing the balance and tension of opposing elements.

For instance, the opposite of the absolute would be the infinite, with our reality fluctuating somewhere inbetween.

It’s more yin and yang, than God Almighty.
