Actually it's between infinity and equilibrium. Zero and infinity. Energy radiates out, toward infinity, while form coalesces in, toward equilibrium. The frame with the fastest clock and longest ruler would be closest to the equilibrium of the vacuum. The unmoving void of absolute zero.

The straight up logical flaw in Big Bang Theory was when they first realized that redshift increases proportional to distance in all directions, either making us be at the exact center of the universe, or cosmic redshift an optical effect, it was changed to an expansion of space, rather than an expansion in space, because "spacetime!"

Which completely ignores the central premise of spacetime, that the speed of light is always measured as a constant. So that if space were to actually relativistically expand, the speed of light would have to increase proportionally. Yet that would negate it causing redshift.

Basically two metrics of space are being derived from the same intergalactic light. One based on the speed and one based on the spectrum. If the speed were being used as the numerator, it would be a "tired light" theory, but since it's an "expanding space" theory, the speed is still the implicit denominator. The ruler against which this expansion is being measured.

Apparently one more instance where when the herd starts running, there is no arguing with it.

One way light does redshift over distance, is as multi spectrum "packets," as the higher frequencies dissipate faster. Yet that would mean we are sampling a wave front, not seeing individual photons that traveled billions of lightyears. Which would mean the quantification of light is a function of the absorption required to measure it. A "loading" theory of light.

Which really gets you cast into the outer purgatory of allowed debate.
