Antoun,

Things are certainly getting messy fast.

Magnier's take, as well as some others, is Hezbollah is just firing off a lot of stuff to burn through the iron dome, then send in the heavy stuff. We shall see.

Hear about the American tanker run aground in the Persian Gulf?

How monumentally incompetent is that. Beyond belief.

Unless we go into conspiracy mode and figure the Pentagon really and truly doesn't want to get dragged into another Mid East war, that they really are not ready for, given they can't even beat the Houthis, that would, if Israel has any say, haha, eventually drag Iran in.

In which case, the Persian Gulf will quickly become out of bounds for pretty much anything, including oil tankers.

So if they do live in that reality based world, what would be the most convenient links in the chain to cut?

Will the West, at the last minute, leave Israel to hang out to dry?

Not trying to be optimistic, so much as reading the form and that tanker sticks out. As well as the fact that the US is on its back foot anyway.

That is an interesting article. I have to admit I'm not a particularly sympathetic person, given how much horror there is, but the objective point of view, from the inside, takes real character.
