Are you sure rationalism isn't just our belief system?

As mobile organisms this sentient interface our body has with its situation functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our sense of time is as the present moving past to future. It is the basis of human civilization and culture, as narrative.

Yet the evident reality is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

It is like a tapestry being woven of strands being pulled from what was woven.

We are linear, goal oriented creatures in a cyclical, circular, reciprocal, feedback generated reality. It's like we haven't really internalized the implications of the earth being round.

Consider the obsession with money; As these linear goal oriented creatures, we see money as signal to save and store, while markets need it to circulate, so Econ 101 refers to it as both medium of exchange and store of value.

In your body, blood is a medium, fat is a store. Mix them up and see how long you live.

Roads are a medium. If we treated roads like we treat money, we would pave everything over and fight over our little patches of pavement.

I could go on quite a bit about all the various idiocies built into our supposedly modern culture, but find most can't think outside their belief systems. It's like language.

Some more anyway;
