As Emerson said, “We are but thickened light.”

The distinction between energy and information does raise an interesting question as to whether quanta are more like frequency and amplitude, than the underlaying energy. Here is an experiment suggesting such;

Which would have an effect on cosmology, for one thing, as it is shown multi-spectrum “packets” of light do redshift over distance alone, as the higher spectrums dissipate faster. The paper;

I put a space between the h and ttp so it doesn’t all download.

I have an argument with current cosmology, as using the premise of spacetime to argue that space itself expands completely ignores the central premise of GR, that the speed of light is always measured as a Constant. If intergalactic light is redshifted, obviously it is not Constant to intergalactic space. Two metrics are being derived from the same light. One based on the speed and one based on the spectrum. Which is the numerator and which is the denominator? Since the theory explicitly uses the light as the denominator, as in more lightyears, as it expands, not expanded lightyears, the whole theory doesn’t make sense.
