As I tell people, we used to pay money to go to the movies to watch what we can read on the news today for free.

My attention, at 62, isn't so much learning new, as applying what I have learned to current world events.

All too often we think the mysteries are in something new and exotic, but the real mystery is in the simple. We can identify with the chicken much more readily than the egg.

Under the culture, politics and personalities, what drives us is biology and physics.

For example, as the executive and regulatory function, government is analogous to the central nervous system, while money and banking are analogous to blood and the circulation system. Historically we are at an interregnum between government evolving from private enterprise to public utility, to banking making the same step. It is now in its, "Let them eat cake." stage.

We live in interesting times.
