As these little nodes of awareness, we are born knowing everything and spend our lives learning otherwise, as the network and the rabbit holes, tatter the bubble.
As you point out, it is uncertainty and most people are extremely uncomfortable with it. We all know the odds are against every acorn becoming an oak tree, but the ones stuck in their shells certainly won’t make it.
One of the points I frequently try making is that time is not so much the point of the present, moving past to future, as it is change turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.
Suffice to say, children seem better able to process the point, than adults, as we live in/are indoctrinated to a narrative based culture.
Consequently we spend our lives seeking some ideal, further up the road.
Even in the premise of immortality, as some continuation of our lives, but if time is simply an effect, like temperature, than we can only get outside our mortal bubble by connecting with the world around us. The energy flowing through us and being us, like a tool, or a book is an extension of our bodies and minds. When we make the world an extension of our soul, we can only ride the wave.
Though picking what wave to ride is the key.
Yet trying to peel away the layers of assumptions is like pulling a bandaid off people’s souls. They just get angry and retreat further. They have their identity and it is a religion.
It really is the same light shining through different lenses.
