Beautiful.

The one advantage to all the enormous piles of bullshit is that eventually it means that much larger of a cultural reset.

People don't want truths, they want answers. They don't want to have to think, they just want have something to follow, so they don't have to think. That's why we have so many priests and politicians, while the philosophers are neutered and confined to the back alleys of academia, to debate the same dried out issues.

God is not some ideal of wisdom and judgement from which we fell, but the essence of sentience from which we rise. That we are aware, than all the details of which we are aware.

Conflating the ideal with the absolute creates the assumption our ideals should be absolute and unyielding, rather then the unique expressions of our desires that they actually are.

All the movements seeking to replace this top down belief assume the same, so there can be no live and let live, when the Other is an affront to one's own True God.

Democracy and republicanism evolved in pantheistic cultures, as there was no division between culture and civics and that was the Ancients vision of multiculturalism.

When the West went back to these broader based civil models, it required a separation of church and state, culture and civics.

Good and bad are not some cosmic conflict between the forces of righteousness and evil, but the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental. The 1/0 of sentince. What is good for the fox is bad for the chicken.

All our higher order social conventions; respect, responsibility, trust, honor, even love, evolve upwards from these raw foundations. So when we are so blind as to see good as aspirational, rather than elemental, conflicts do become a race to the bottom, of us versus them, good versus bad. Rather then each side being able to expect the other to hold to the higher standards and hopefully evolve further.

America is humanity crashing up against the edge of the global petri dish, after a hundred thousand years of go forth and multiply. The future we have borrowed against has arrived and it's time to turn around and deal with the blowback. The world is round, not flat.

The turtle is still plodding along, long after the rabbit has died. Time to chill and deal with the reality.

The anarchy of desire versus the tyranny of judgement. The heart versus the head.

More yin and yang, than God Almighty.
