Ben,

You sure you're not turning skepticism into its own totem? The tool becoming the God?

Consider the process creating all those other gods is reductionism. Distilling all the complexities of life down to one pure, platonic ideal. the ultimate signal from the noise.

Which is, quite simply, how our mind functions, in selecting the best option from the multiude of choices, then taken to the most extreme degree possible. Such as a God that cannot be seen, explained, defined.

So your option is simply to reject everything. It's all noise, there is no signal.

Which might be valid, in the sense the only real absolute is zero. Perfect equilibrium. The flatline between the ups and downs. The temperature of absolute zero, the unmoving void.

Yet the opposite of the absolute would be the infinite. Everything, all noise, all actions, all voids and the activties between the various voids.

The multitudes of religions and cultures.

You can reject them, but then you just have that centerpoint of your own religion.

Maybe it's all medium and there is no ultimate message. The ultimate is just another horizon line in a cyclical reality.

Skepticism becomes boredom, becomes curiosity, becomes wonder.....
