By form, I mean “static.” Our brains see form, in the sense they extract static images and impressions from a dynamic reality.
Though as a physical concept, I’m seeing form as definition emerging from the dynamic, like frequency and amplitude emerge from the activity of waves.
Which means the limits of the energy define/limit form. When a wave is building, we might measure pressure and guess its final amplitude. Sort of like seeing a flower start to bud and use prior information to guess how it will fully extend. Yet the form is only fully apparent when the energy has crested. Compare this to thoughts, versus feelings. Feelings are like a wave building. We sense them coming on and the direction they might be going, but they are not clear and defined. Once they are fully formed, they are thoughts, but then crested, they start receding.
Which does go back to the issue of time. The energy being conserved and thus present, goes past to future, while the forms, coming into being and fading, go future to past. As thoughts go future to past.
The deeper physical issue then goes to the dynamic of these forms and that is where my lack of real science background is worth noting. Think in terms of gravity as an effect of mass, yet there is more gravitational attraction, than there is evident mass. So what if we propose the opposite; That mass is only part of a spectrum of collapse? That the wave collapse starts all the way back with photons out of fields and it is an expression of this form emerging from energy.
Then form isn’t actually static, just as a wave isn’t static, even if we extract the static information of frequency and amplitude from them. It is a process of collapse and energy being lost, as ever more concentrated forms are being creating. Much as galaxies and all their systems and stars are constantly creating ever more condensed mass, as well as radiating out excess energy.
Then we get to the black holes at the center, where it would seem all form is canceled out and all energy is radiated back out, as more the eye of a storm, than an actual reservoir of some eternal information, in the blocktime tradition.
Which goes to this relationship between energy as physical, and form as matematical. It’s not as though QM, or GR fully reconcile the physics with the math.
The past, for instance, is form, without energy. Consequently it doesn’t actually exist. While the future is projections of what the energy might do, so it doesn’t actually exist either.
As I said, I like putting up and discussing ideas, but its safe to say that as multiworlds and multiverses seem to be the topics du jour, finding conversations is difficult. So I tend to just live my life and not bang my head on the wall, too much.
