Certainly seems to be a lot of Putin derangement syndrome out there. The fact is it really is a complex world out there, even if most people can only think in black and white.

Having been following all the various wars out there for decades, from Chechnya to Iraq, I'm getting bit jaded.

While most people quickly seek safety in the crowd, running with the herd, I tend to see myself as a little critter in the forest, listening to every sound and whether it is dangerous.

There is safety in numbers, but there is also safety in being as aware as possible and that means listening to everyone.

The joke before the war was the West wanted a war with Russia to the last Ukrainian and that is, surprise, exactly how it is playing out.
