Concepts versus reality is a pretty contentious issue, ie, maps versus territory, but they do go from being tools to gods. Forms to boxes.

The mind needs those building blocks. It gives your mind something to tumble around and bounce against other ideas. Having spent decades doing similar, with similar concepts and relations, it's how the mind works. So much of it goes on in the subconscious. It's like we consume information and it just sorts itself out in ways we can't predict. Mental food.

Looking at the world, a lot of convention is also breaking down and how it sorts itself out will take awhile.

Moments are long, years are short.
