Consider that as mobile organisms, this sentient interface our body has with its situation functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate. So our experience of time is the present moving past to future.

It is the basis of culture and civilization, as narrative and history. Knowledge is a cumulative effect.

Yet the evident reality is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

There is no physical dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

There is no time traveling around the fabric of spacetime, as it is more a tapestry being woven of strands constantly being pulled from what was woven.

Energy is "conserved," because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color and sound, as frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.

So the energy goes past to future, because the patterns generated come and go, future to past.

Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall. No tiny strings necessary.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past.

The digestive system processes the energy, feeding the flame, while the nervous system sorts the patterns, signals from the noise.

Science tend to have a similar problem with energy, as with consciousness, in that it can only be defined in terms of the forms manifest. Yet as a product of the mind, science, as rational reductionism, tends to concentrate on the patterns, more than the processes giving rise to them.

Lives go birth to death, future to past, while life moves onto the next generation, shedding the old, past to future.

The signals our minds pick out of the noise are what resonates and synchronizes with our prior knowledge, building on it, like rings of a tree. Effectively going back to earliest memories, when we were most emotional and least informed.

As religions tend to be the childhood memories and lessons of cultures.

This is a centripetal dynamic, as structure coalesces in, while excess information, errant energy, is radiated back out.

Like galaxies. Structure coalesces in, as energy radiates out.

Synchronization versus harmonization.

Nodes and networks.

Organisms and ecosystems.

What we see of the world around us, is the frequencies those surfaces radiate, not what they absorb, so our world is the noise shed by what surrounds us.

Circuit breakers on the feedback loops.

Otherwise it all goes spiraling into that vortex in the middle.

One is the node. Oneness is the network.

"Entangled particles."
