Couple observations;

Our problem with time is that as these mobile beings, this sentient interface our body has with its situation functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our experience of time is as the point of the present moving past to future.

The evident reality though, is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

Different clocks can run at different rates simply because they are separate actions. Think metabolism.

Energy is "conserved," because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color and sound. Frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.

So the energy goes past to future, because the patterns generated come and go, future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall.

Given that consciousness goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past, this relationship is difficult to process objectively. As it is the gut processing the energy, while the nervous system sorts the information and the circulation system is feedback in the middle.

Also galaxies are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in.

As for BBT, given the premise of space expanding is based on the theory of Relativity, than if space were to expand, the speed of light would have to increase, in order to remain constant, yet two metrics are being derived from the same light. One based on the speed and one based on the spectrum. If the speed were being treated as the numerator, it would be a tired light theory, but as an expanding space theory, the speed is still the explicit denominator. The ruler against which this expansion is being calibrated. So even by the logic on which it is based, it is grievously flawed.

One way light does redshift over distance, is as multi spectrum "packets," as the higher frequencies dissipate faster.

Here is a paper I came across years ago, pointing this put;

The problem this creates, is it would mean we are sampling a wave front, so the quantification of light is a function of its detection and measurement, not fundamental to the light itself. Suggesting a loading, or threshold model;
