I realized a long time ago, the bottom line was maintaining my own sanity and if it meant trying to tell the world what it's doing wrong, or just going for a walk, I take my own path.
That we live in the times we do, is quite interesting.
Having grown up on a farm, I tend to take a more biological view of the situation, than mechanical, or information processing, so what I see is an enormous scab, cultural, political, economic, that is forming and growing harder and crustier, but consequently also separating from the underlaying tissue.
Gradually more and more people, as the individual cells of the social organism, will realize they don't want to be part of it and gradually back off their support. While those who've already sold their souls to it will shriek ever louder and more frantically.
So even though they are the loudest and have been given the biggest megaphones by those with the money, you can only wait for them to burn out.
As the old saying goes, don't try teaching a pig to sing. You will only be wasting your time and irritating the pig.
