Do you see floaters? I've seen them since I was a little kid and instinctively knew they were other people's attention, focused in my direction. Driving is when I see them the most.
I'm pretty good with the death stare too, but that comes from going out over the tattered edge of reality enough to know it's a horizon line. It bubbles up through the cracks in the ground.
Also time isn't so much the point of the present, moving past to future, that we experience as mobile organisms with a sequential process of perception, but change turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.
So there is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Cause becomes effect.
Energy is conserved, because it is the present, so it goes past to future, while the patterns generated go future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall.
Consciousness also goes past to future, while the thoughts giving it form go future to past. Though it's the heart and gut processing the energy, feeding the flame, while the central nervous system sorts the information.
So if you really want to space out, let go of the information and just surf the energy.
Galaxies are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in.
Waves either synchronize, which is centripetal, or harmonize, which is centrifugal. So there are nodes and networks, organisms and ecosystems, particles and fields.
As this sentient interface between body and world, we fluctuate in-between.
Without the ups and downs, it's a flatline.
