Either it’s regulated, or it goes metastatic. I don’t even see it as a political issue, so much as physics. If you are going to turn the communal value circulation mechanism into an extraction mechanism, it really isn’t hard to see where it leads. I sort of backed into studying economics as a consequence of a broader effort to make sense of nature and people. Here is an essay I just put up, trying to dig into the heart of what we are doing. While it might seem over the top, I found myself off the beaten track a long time ago and just kept at it.
