Extremely wishful thinking.

The larger reality is the West is crumbling under unsupportable debts and political incompetence.

Such as trying to colonize Russia for the third time in as many centuries.

The US and Europe are not going to be able to save Israel from its own increasingly deranged behavior, even if they want to.

If Israel were a person, it would have been an abused childhood, developing into a serious violent streak. That while it was smart and reasonably successful, things have gone sideways in middle age and now finds itself in the barricaded in the house with the hostages stage, looking to take it to suicide by cop, as the only long term plans seems to be that larger war, that will leave it a smoking ruin.

Frankly the best case scenario is for the wheels to come off the train, before it tumbles into the abyss.
