Frankly, climate change is only part of the package.

After a few hundred thousand years of, "Go forth and multiply," we've reached the edge of the petri dish and it's time for a serious reset.

This isn't the beginning of the end, so much as it's the end of the beginning. Life and earth are both much bigger and much tougher than humanity. It just seems we are a nascent global central nervous system and are at a particularly infantile stage. All taking and no giving.

Though without obstacles, there would be no reason to up our game and we are seriously going to have to up our game.
