When the larger system does collapse, nature starts over from the bottom up, with lots of small systems. Like when the big tree falls, saplings string up to use the light.

So there will be lots of experimentation. I suspect lots of these big lawns will be small farms in 20 years and the garages small shops to fix the old stuff.

We can only grow higher on a solid foundation.
