He does reflect the times. Yet what are the times?
My analogy is of a scab, slowly peeling away from the underlaying flesh. Those seeking to control the narrative are slowly, inexoriably losing control of it, as they have lost people's respect.
Which goes both left and right. The democrats had the option of taking the high road, after 16, accepting they lost to the clown, but the system was bigger and stronger than any one person and tried working around him as best as possible. Instead, we've been subject to a four temper tantrum, of blaming him on the Russians. Certainly no one ever accused the Russian of being angels, but it's pretty evident the finger pointing was an intentional distraction from much more fundamental problems. Endless wars, exploding deficits, mostly to finance the global casino, politicians who don't even try to hide they are bought by the highest bidders, etc.
So maybe there is an inferno burning through our society and eventually it will burn out and people really will look like a bunch of chimps for taking the theater seriously and not the actual problems.
People are linear and goal oriented, but nature remains cyclical, reciprocal and feedback generated.
We are the bull, she is the matador.
