Hopefully we are closer to the end of the beginning, than the beginning of the end, of life on this little orb in space.

We are these linear, goal seeking organisms in a cyclical, circular, reciprocal, feedback generated reality and after tens of thousands of years of going forth and multiplying, we are bumping up against the edge of the global petri dish. Given we are all not billionaires, with egos to match, climbing out is not much of an option.

So how might we better figure out how to manage our chances on this planet? What actual lessons are there to be learned?

Think of this; Galaxies are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in.

We have the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy driving us on, while the central nervous system sorts through the forms and information precipitating out. Motor and steering.

The anarchies of desire, versus the tyrannies of judgement.

In society, we have evolved various forms of government to serve the executive and regulatory functions, essentially an emergent central nervous system.

There has also developed economic mediums of exchange, for large societies to be able to efficiently interact, aka, money and banking, as a form of economic blood and circulation system.

After a few millennia of trial and error, it has become evident that government has to function as a form of public utility.

While this places government under the purview of the people, given that banking doesn't have such public constraints, it has allowed this system to metastasize, since it can plan on longer time frames than any regulatory apparatus. Consequently the banks are having their own, "Let them eat cake." moment.

Unfortunately for them, given government is the strategizing function, they lack any plan, other than growth. Thus the resemblance to a cancer.

So wouldn't delving into the nature of conundrums such as this, be a far better way to explore human pontential, than sending pods of dna to the various stars.

Talking time frames, the Voyager spacecraft were launched in the 70's and are just now reaching the edge of our own solar system. Might even get out of it in a couple more decades, but the signals would be too weak to actually know.

It is easy to dream. Thinking is the tough part.
