How about floaters? That’s been one of my problems. I realized at a very early age that they are others consciousness, focused on your bubble. When I was young, I remember laying on the porch, studying this ant. When it stopped and there was this tiny cone of awareness waving around with its antennae.

As a teenager, there was a girl I had a somewhat conflicted relationship. One day there was this floater in front of me and I knew it was her. It was glowing somewhat red and there was this line running through it, pulling it toward me. The effect was the classic heart shape. I guess the line is Cupid’s arrow.

Driving down the road, I’m all the time sorting through the consciousness of the drivers coming the other way, as driving requires constant forward attention, so they are always focused towards what’s coming their way.

I’ve tried to avoid them, as it seems I’m just floating in this sea of somewhat traumatized consciousness, since most people are pretty stressed out these days. So I kind of surf the edges and occasionally draw up my own demons and angels to balance the outside. Though that has its own problems….

Looking for depth is looking for trouble, if not done carefully. The tattered edges of reality are tattered for a reason.
