How do you know the cathedrals are not dedicated to bullshit in the first place?

Logically a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, from which we fell. The fact we are aware, than the details of which we are aware.

The ideal is aspirational, the absolute is elemental. Confuse them and you validate a bunch of monomaniacal fanatics, who believe their ideals are absolute and expect you to swallow them as well.

Remember democracy and republicanism originated in pantheistic cultures, as that was the Ancient's interpretation of multiculturalism.

Monotheism gave us a thousand years of monarchy. Divine right of kings.

When the West went back to more populist forms of government, it required the separation of church and state, culture and civics.
