How much is that Cartesian dualism a consequence of monotheism?

That there is some embodied wisdom looking down, rather than the essence of sentience shining through?

Though even the "material" keeps receding, as we study it.

Not that other cultures haven't found reasons to be murderous, but given our abilities to do it on a mass scale, maybe we need to better understand the forces driving us.

The fact is, we are our passions. The raw essence bubbling up. Our minds are little more than referee of them.

Where do we go from here?
