How well do we currently model reality?
Consider that as mobile organisms, we have this sentient interface between body and world that experiences a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so the conceptual basis for our understanding of reality is this flow of time, of the present moving past to future. Physics codifies it as measures of duration.
The reality is that change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Duration is the present, as the events rise and fall.
There is no literal dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Aka, causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.
Energy is "conserved," because it is the present, creating time, as well as temperature, pressure, color and sound. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.
Ideal gas laws correlate volume with temperature and pressure and they are as foundational to our emotions and bodily functions, as time is to the process of thought.
Time is asymmetric, because it is a measure of action and action is inertial. The earth only turns one direction.
Different clocks can run at different rates simply because they are separate actions. Think metabolism.
Synchronizing them is key. Otherwise the energy disperses and they harmonize.
So energy, as dynamic process and present, goes past to future, while the patterns generated go future to past.
Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall.
As consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past. Though it's the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy, feeding that flame within, while the central nervous system sorts the information. Signals from the noise. Consequently there is an intellectual tendency to think of reality in terms of order and chaos, rather than energy and form.
Though galaxies are energy radiating out, as form coalesces in.
Given that synchronization is centripetal, while harmonization is centrifugal and gravity is a centripetal effect, possibly the situation is that mass is an effect of synchronization, rather than gravity a property of mass.
Consider the quasars shooting out the poles of galaxies are like lasers, synchronized light waves.
It is good to see that some are starting to look beyond the math. Epicycles were brilliant math, as description, while the crystalline spheres were lousy physics, as explanation.
Math is pattern recognition. When it's correlation, it's analogy. When it's causation, it's physics. When it gets mixed up, it's numerology.
