I certainly agree, but the point I was making was about Western culture. If it values logic, it should be able to consider its basic premises are not really thought out, just handed down and built on. We have pretty much reached the edge of the global petri dish, so this, 'go forth and multiply,' ' go west, young man' paradigm needs to give way to a more circular, cyclical, feedback generated reality.
As you say about meaning, there is no pot of gold at the end of the narrative arc. It's all here and now.
Time isn't the point of the present, narratively preceding from past to future, but change turning future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Potential, actual, residual.
There is no literal dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.
As Watts said, the wake doesn't steer the boat, the boat creates the wake.
