I certainly have weird enough dreams that I tend to think of the brain as a radio, picking up strange signals and stations coming from who knows where.
A point I keep raising about the relationship of consciousness to thought, is that consciousness goes past to future, while thoughts go future to past.
Which goes to the issue of time.
As mobile organisms, this sentient interface our body has with its situation functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our concept of time is as the present going past to future, yet the evident reality is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.
So there is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.
The energy is "conserved," because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color, sound. Frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.
So the energy, like consciousness, goes past to future, because the patterns generated go future to past. Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall.
Lives go birth to death, future to past, while life moves onto the next generation, shedding the old, past to future. Waves rising and falling.
Given this proposes consciousness as a form of energy, like light, it would seem life is like bottled light, with both thoughts and the expression of bodies as aspects of the bottles.
Looking at what computers can do with a little bit of energy and biology has been at it for billions of years, it is quite a show.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, light to light.
As for NDE's, my several have involved the tape getting cut, that part being edited out and I'm still on this side of the curtain.
