I grew up as fifth of six kids on a farm and have probably spent more of my life around horses and cattle, than people. So I tend to come at things from a somewhat feral point of view.
To culture, good and bad are some cosmic conflict between the forces of righteousness and evil, while in nature, it's the basic biological binary of beneficial and detrimental.
Yes, monotheism is the epitome of dogmatic, but then so is much of culture, even science. When the model can no longer be falsified, only patched, like current cosmology, it has gone from theory to dogma.
How much do we want to know of other's minds? Don't most of us have enough problems just dealing with our own?
