I guess I’m with you on the over-all goal, though I’ve had epilepsy since I was 29 and the drug I have to live on is a bit of a sedative, so it tends to magnify my natural inclination to sit back and just study the world, as it spirals ever further into chaos.
As someone who knew enough about the effects and consequences of credit and debt at 20, that when the country had a choice between Carter saying to put on a sweater, versus Reagan saying to put it on the credit card, it’s no surprise there has been a party for the last forty years, for those on top and we are in a state of total denial about the future we have been borrowing against, from the environment to student debt. With a bankruptcy skating con artist in control and the opposition driven by military industrial money, whatever the cultural issues plastered over it.
So I’m not so much concerned about the future, as I know the crash is coming and have spent my life trying to look beyond it.
Either humanity is the evolving central nervous system to a planetary organism, though in a particularly adolescent stage, or we are simply reaching the edge of the global petri dish. Nature can be brutal with her lessons.
