I had a similar epiphany in 89, that while we think of time as moving towards the future, everything we know is evidently sliding into the past.
It took me a couple of decades to really work out the implications, that energy and information go opposite directions of time.
The problem is that as these biological entities, it is our gut processing the energy, while our nervous system sorts the information, motor and steering, so when we intellectualize it, it becomes all about the information. The quantification and digitization of everything.
Now I've certainly been through this debate enough time with people only willing to accept information, as that is what our minds are built to do, signals from the noise, so I realize it's not a popular argument to make. Though having grown up outside of academia, actually raising and training race horses in a family business, I'm not committed to the intellectualization of everything, but of stepping back and sensing the bigger picture.
