I know the premise would not go over well, but would you consider that Zionism might be the radical Judaism?

Given that the Jews who remained in Palestine for the last couple thousand years, had passable relations with both Muslim and Christian neighbors.

While the concept of God and its various religious affiliations have certain assumptions within the various sect's religious schools, out among the large masses of people, who simply view their religions as social icons, some more basic factor has to be the locus. The larger the crowd, the lower the common denominator necessary to include them all.

Then that those powered more by their hormones than logical feedback loops, tend to resort to violence to make themselves felt.

"the best lack all conviction,

the worst are full of passionate intensity."

It is not that I'm offering some solution to this mess, but that since we appear to be headed for some sort of apocalypse, those of us who like to engineer out the problems, than just running with the herd, have to step ever further back to see the larger picture.

When the fire races through the forest, whatever space each tree once had, will be meaningless to whoever sprouts back up from the ground.

Cycles, big and small.
