I realize the premise of spacetime, as the proposed physical explanation of the Math of Special and General Relativity, has holes in it. I'm just pointing out the expanding universe model is based on it, but ignores the central factor.

If the speed of light is not the ruler of intergalactic space, which supposedly expands faster than it crosses, what space is it measuring?

They extract two metrics from the same light. One based on the speed and one based on the spectrum.

Basically I'm just using it as an example, that people will believe whatever it takes, to be part of the crowd.
