I see life as like a sentence. The end is just punctuation. What matters is how well you tie what comes before, with what comes after.

We are these mobile organisms, so we experience life as a sequence of events, in order to navigate. Though people have developed way too many conceptual feedback loops of imagination....

So we think of time as the point of the present, moving past to future, but the reality is that change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns.

There is no literal "dimension" of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

Consequently energy, as process, goes past to future, while the patterns generated go future to past.

With a wave, the energy drives it, while the fluctuations rise and fall.

Consciousness goes past to future, while thoughts go future to past. suggesting consciousness is an energy, though it is the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy, feeding the flame, while the central nervous system sorts the information precipitating out.

As lives go birth to death, while life moves onto the next generation, shedding the old.
