I think it's getting to the point we have to look beyond culture and poltics to understand the forces at work.

One observation that has occurred to me recently is the two most basic dynamics in nature are synchronization and harmonization.

One is centripetal, while the other is centrifugal. From nodes as a sychronization of behavior, to networks as a harmonization of behaviors. The basis for the relationship between organisms and ecosystems.

It's just that either can be taken to extremes, from black holes, to black body radiation, yet life and our place in nature requires a fine balance and feedback between the two.
