I think one of the missing keys to both consciousness and the reality in which it finds itself, is our concept of time.

As mobile organisms, this sentient interface our body has with its situation functions as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate, so our experience of time is as the present moving past to future.

It is the basis of culture and civilization, as narrative and history. Physics codifies it as measures of duration.

Given much of academia is studying what others previously thought and expressed, it is foundational to knowledge.

Yet the evident reality, for those of us experiencing reality first hand, is that activity and the resulting change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Potential, actual, residual.

There is no dimension of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.

It's like a tapestry being woven of strands being pulled from what was woven.

The energy is conserved, because it manifests this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color and sound, as frequencies and amplitudes, rates and degrees.

So the energy, as presence, goes past to future, because the patterns generated come and go, future to past.

Energy drives the wave, the fluctuations rise and fall. No tiny strings necessary.

Consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past. Suggesting consciousness manifests as energy.

The digestive system processes the energy, feeding the flame, while the nervous system sorts the information, signals from the noise, with the circulation system as feedback in the middle.

Science tends to have the same problem with energy, as with consciousness, in that it is only defined by the forms it manifests and since the nervous system is all about the patterns projected, it tends to promote information as primary.

Such that consciousness might be created with sufficient information processing, rather than the evident reality that information processing is a survival mechanism, like running or generating toxins.

Obviously the energy of emotion invariably overrides any logical thought process.

Which goes to both how thought processes are generated and sustained, as well as the nature of physical substance.

The signals our minds pick from the noise are what resonates and synchronizes with our prior knowledge, such that it both builds on what we know, as well as tunes us into those aspects of the situation that are on the same wavelength.

The effect is centripetal.

Consider that galaxies are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in.

As these tactile, object oriented organisms, evolved to swing around trees and adapting that to throwing sticks, we have this notion of reality as composed of objects, from atoms to individuals.

Yet what if that material basis is simply an artifact our our perceptions and the resulting presumptions?

That the properties we associate with mass and matter are simply intermediate effects of the energy radiating and the resulting structure coalescing?

One of the problems physics has with there being far too much gravitational effect for the observed mass of galaxies. Consequently Dark Matter as the patch.

So what if it's backward, that mass is an effect of this centripetal dynamic, aka, gravity, going from the barest bending of the light, to the black holes at the center of galaxies, interacting with the essential expansion of the energy/light, rather than gravity as a property of mass?

Consider that anything actually falling into that black hole/vortex in the middle, is shot out the poles as quasars. Which are like giant lasers and lasers are synchronized light waves.

Assuming you know the conceptual basis for our current cosmological model, aka, the Big Bang Theory, the fact is that if space were to actually expand, using the premise of spacetime, then the speed of the light crossing it should increase proportionally, in order to remain Constant!!!

Instead two metrics are being derived from the speed and spectrum of the same light.

Given it is an expanding space and not tired light theory, the speed is still the denominator.

It fails on its own premises.

One way light does redshift over distance alone, is as multi spectrum packets, as the higher frequencies dissipate faster. Yet that would mean we are sampling a wave front and the quantification of light is an artifact of its detection and measurement. A loading, or threshold theory.

Which would not go over well with the Grand Mandarins of modern physics.

Which then goes back to how we form thoughts, as we build on what came previously, or it just becomes noise.

Epicycles were brilliant math, as a modeling of our view of the cosmos, though the crystalline spheres were lousy physics, as causal explanation.

It does seem physics is making the same mistake and trying to fit the evidence to their models, than accepting the evidence might be falsifying the models.

I could go on, but this should either give some idea why the paradigms need shifting, or you are dismissing it as noise.
