I think that under the infinite details, there is an extremely basic dynamic that needs to be understood, if we want to fix the situation.
You are focused on energy, which is both an overwhelming aspect of reality and incredibly nebulous. This is because it functions as the opposite side of the coin from structure and form.
Consider galaxies are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in.
As these biological organisms, we have the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy driving us on, while the central nervous system sorts through the information precipitating out.
Government, as executive and regulatory function, is analogous to a central nervous system, while money and banking mirror blood and the circulation system.
As these mobile organisms, this sentient interface our bodies have with their context operates as a sequence of perceptions, in order to navigate. So our experience of time is as the point of the present, moving past to future. Though the evident reality is that change turns future to past. Tomorrow becomes yesterday, because the earth turns. Potential>actual>residual.
There is no literal "dimension" of time, because the past is consumed by the present, to inform and drive it. Causality and conservation of energy. Cause becomes effect.
Sort of like trying to understand the sun moving east to west, before appreciating it's the earth turning west to east.
Energy is "conserved," because it is this presence, creating time, temperature, pressure, color and sound. Time is frequency, events are amplitude.
So energy, as this presence, goes past to future, because the patterns it generates form and dissolve, future to past.
Energy drives the wave, while the fluctuations rise and fall. No tiny strings necessary.
Given that consciousness also goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it form and structure go future to past, it would seem consciousness exists as a sort of energy. Yet it's the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems processing the energy and feeding the flame, while the central nervous system sorts the information, signals from the noise. Reducing and consolidating the information even more. Motor and steering.
Which sets up and hopefully explains this inherent tension between the elements driving us on and how we deal with and respond to them. The anarchies of desire, versus the tyrannies of judgement.
I could go on, but I find a lot of people get turned off, if too many of their assumptions get disturbed.
