I think the basic dynamic has to be taken into account. That our current rate of progress can sustain a parabolic rate of increase, without creating considerable blowback, is delusional.
The simple fact we have this narrative concept of time is like assuming a geocentric cosmology. Certainly we can mathematically model it, as we are the center point of our own perspective, all it takes is tweeking it a bit, as new information comes in. Yet if we make assumptions that model is foundational to anything other than our point of view, we are taking a long walk off a short board.
I could point to our current economic medium of exchange and the degree to which it is designed to extract all possible value out of the entire society and enviornment, rather than circulate it for the long term, as another example of our projecting linearly, in a cyclical reality. Resulting in eventual massive blowback.
Slow and steady has its advantages, when we not only don't understand what is ahead of us, but even what we assume should still be far more open to question.
