The gravitational counterpoint, around which any structure coalesces, versus the infinity of possibilities surrounding it.

A healthy situation, personal, political, etc. has to recognize these two poles and fluctuate between them, not be drawn into the abyss in the center, or flung out into the void.

We grow by stepping over the edge and taking our world a little bit further, even though our connections draw us back in.

Lives go future to past, as life goes past to future.
