I think we need to first better understand this side of the mirror. How much are we really aware of what goes on, both internally and externally? Our minds process information by distilling out useful signals from the noise, but the effect is to sterilize much of what might be perceived, in order to explain and quantify it.
For example, would a spiritual absolute be an ideal of wisdom and knowledge, from which we fell, or the essence of sentience, from which we rise?
Is time the point of the present, moving past to future, or is it change, turning future to past?
Is money a social contract enabling mass communities, or a commodity to mine from them?
When we canbegin to get a much better picture of the world around us, then it becomes possible to start looking under the surface. We are this sentient interface between our bodies and the world around us, but there is a lot of cultural baggage that has to be dealt with, if we want to see any further.
