I think we will eventually have to go beyond all the cultural brands and understand the basic dynamics at work.

The logical flaw in monotheism is that ideals are not absolutes.

Truth, beauty, platonic forms are ideals. The core codes, creeds, heroes, narratives at the gravitational center of every culture are ideals.

The universal, on the other hand, is the elemental. So a spiritual absolute would be the essence of sentience, from which we rise, not an ideal of wisdom and judgement, aka, knowledge, from which we fell. The light shining through the film, than the stories playing out on it.

Our nature is that dichotomy of the anarchies of desire, versus the tyrannies of judgement.

Liberals and conservatives. Energies youth, versus lessons of age.

When the liberals run amok, it is like a forest fire, as any structure becomes one more obstacle to overcome, to the point that puberty is now a fascist plot.

When the conservatives run amok, it all goes spiraling down the vortex in the middle and the high priests rule. As with the gods of Mammon, the billionaires and bankers are the high priests.

Yet evidently the most healthy is that fluctuation between these poles. Even galaxies are energy radiating out, as structure coalesces in.

"The best lack all conviction(because they are able to see both sides),

While the worst are full of passionate intensity(as they run over everyone else)."

The real crazies are not the ones arguing with themselves, but the ones that never argue with themselves.
