I used to comment on Sean Carroll's Preposterous Universe and he was tolerant of me, but I did tend to irritate some of the other commenters. I'm a crank.

Here is an essay where I tried describing some of my views on physics;

One of the points I make is that the three dimensional description of space is essentially the xyz coordinate system, which is a mapping device, like longitude, latitude and altitude.

If we take away all physical properties from space, it has the non-physical qualities of infinity and equilibrium. Infinity, because there is nothing to bound it and equilibrium is implicit in Special Relativity, as the frame with the longest ruler and fastest clock is closest to the equilibrium of the vacuum. The unmoving void of absolute zero.

So space is the absolute and the infinite.

What fills space is not so much matter and energy, as energy and the forms it manifests. As I argued, the energy pushes out, toward the next, the future, while the fluctuations rise and fall, receding into the past. The overall effect are these cosmic convection cycles, we refer to as galaxies, as energy radiates out, while mass gravitates in.

Yet there is far more gravitational effect, than mass to explain it.

So what if this relationship between energy and form is more fundamental? Say that information/form starts all the way out, where photons first emerge from the field. The initial expression of information. Which also requires some degree of focusing this field energy, thus condensing it and putting more energy in less space. The wave forming and building.

Such that gravity is not so much a property of mass, as mass is the lower, denser end of this spectrum of intensifying energy. Than the gravitational effect of the "missing mass" wouldn't be due to mass, but the inward curvature of our measure of this effect from the very beginning.

By the time it reaches the edge of the black holes, all energy is increasingly radiated back out, until what's left is shot out the poles, as quasars.

Thus energy is always going forward/future, as form is the very effect of it building and becoming more focused. The amplitude increasing. Feeding back on itself, creating these increasingly complex chemical structures.

So that it is a relationship entirely between energy and its form. One radiating toward infinity, while the other coalesces toward equilibrium. Both entropic, yet opposite.

Obviously crank territory for mathematically focused theorists, but it fits in with my broader argument for how everything is this relationship between energy driving and form directing. Even to the relationship between desire and judgement. Transcendence versus order.

Consciousness versus thought.
