I would argue your last point. Even if Israel dropped every nuclear weapon it has on Iran, geographically Iran is big enough to absorb it. By the time it occurs, much of the population of the cities will have scattered across the countryside and there won't be an Israel to fire a second round, simply because Israel is not as geographically large and if much of their military is taken out, the neighbors will not be that empathetic.
