I would tend to see that as prediction and projection, rather then philosophy.

My sense is that we really don't understand what is, so it's problematic to project what ought to be. We could as easily be heading for a dystopia, as a utopia. The bottom dropping out, versus exploring the universe.

The fact is that our system has been running on debt, drawn from the future and the future seems to be arriving.
