If you don't like the effects, you need to understand the causes. You have to understand the is, before proposing the ought.

The problem is that most people want answers, not truths. That's why there are so many priests and politicians, while the philosophers are neutered and confined to the back alleys of academia, with their minds mummified by thousand year old arguments.

Reality is energy and information. It's information all the way down, while it's energy all the way up.

Time isn't so much the present moving past to future, as it is change turning future to past. Energy is the present, so it creates time, going past to future, while the information generated goes future to past. As consciousness goes past to future, while the perceptions, emotions and thoughts giving it definition go future to past.

Galaxies are energy radiating out, while form coalesces in.

Our digestive, respiratory and circulatory systrms processes the energy driving us, while the central nervous systems sorts the information defining us.

Signals from the noise.

Society is the organic, social energies driving them on, versus the cultural and civil forms and stuctures giving them form and definition. Motor and steering.

So there is that inherent conflict between the desires driving us, verus the decisions selecting among them.

Neither the mind or government is the source of these impulses, only the referee. Which after the initial stage of growth, selects in favor of stability over progress, then further coalescing around management, over the managed.

So once the process has coalesced the focus pf society around its own, ever shrinking core, then the energies outside this core eventually react against it and tear it down. Presumably to start the whole process over again, but as it has been going on for billions of years and only getting ever more complex, there is a lot of feedback going on.

This might seem arcane, but if you want to go beyond just answers, priests and politicians...

In terms of conceptual perception, we are still in a fairly infantile stage, since there isn't any recognition of the analogies between government and the nervous system, between banking/money and the circulation system/blood, police as the immune system, etc.

Our current political debates, like the woke/cancel culture phenomenon, certainly don't and can't look too deeply into the processes generating the sexes, which predates the distinction between flora and fauna, or racial and cultural differences and root visions of reality, because that would detract from their immediate functions as political weapons.

All of which might just seem too abstract. Unless there are fracture lines and points built into these cultural foundations, that in the current turmoil, can be broken open and used to give more space to the current debates, before the conflicts become terminal.

Such as whether money is a social contract enabling society, or a commodity to mine from it.

Whether a spiritual absolute would be the essence/energy of sentience, bubbling up through life, or an ideal form of widom, judgement and culture, from which it has fallen.

In crisis, there is opportunity and the larger the crisis, the greater the opportunity.
