I'm assuming you realize how intellectually pathetic this premise is. By its logic, all our political parties and campaigns should start hiring Russians to run their election campaigns.

Yes, Donald Trump is a buffoon, but the fact he has the Washington establishment still running in circles, going on two years after they shoved him out the door, is a sign of the failures built into the system. When he won in 16, rather than stepping back and logically assessing how it happened, we were subject to a four, now six year temper tantrum. There are no adults left in the room. Everyone operates on Trump's level now.

Why?

As executive and regulatory function, government is the central nervous system of the nation state. While money and banking effectively serve as blood and the circulation system.

Between the French and American Revolutions and World War 1, the West in general has come to accept that government best serves as a public utility.

While banking largely remains a private function. (When the medium which enables markets is privately held, these markets are not free, but essentially tenant farmers to the banks.)

This has given banking the upper hand, as they don't have as much oversight and their planning isn't defined around election cycles.

By this point the banking sector has effectively hollowed out government, at least to the degree it is useful to banking. Leaving a bunch of hacks, whose only real function is to serve their funding sources, as well as create as much public debt as possible, since the banks need it to back enormous amounts of private wealth.

The reality is that money is not a commodity to mine from society, but the social contract enabling its economic functioning. It is an effective medium of exchange, but has real limits on its functionality in storing wealth.

Consider that in the body, blood is the medium, while fat is the store, if you want to consider the implications.

The longer term problem this creates, is that government is the decision making function, while banking serves needs and appetites. So the dynamic has all the strategic aptitude of bacteria racing across a petri dish. That's why the innumerable wars are so inept and expensive, but no one is held responsible, because they are simply a burn pit for the borrowing, so more can be borrowed.

Unfortunately the edge of the petri dish is getting very close and there is no turning back.

Hopefully you have a fairly clean soul......
